ABOUT ME
Animals have always been my passion - for last six years I've been focused on helping owners get the most enjoyment from their dogs.
I get so much enjoyment out of seeing owners' bonds with their dogs grow and develop, as well as seeing the dogs' world expand with my help.
I studied Marine & Wildlife Biology at university, before moving to South Africa to work with wild penguins and cheetahs to name just a few.
I have also worked on a rehabilitation farm for neglected livestock in Canada.
When I moved back to England I began to train as a veterinary nurse, but I realised that my passion was based in field work. That's when I joined Archway Boarding Kennels, where I learned so much about dog socialisation and behaviour. There I was working with large groups of dogs every day and learned to socialise them in a structured and controlled manner. I loved this experience so much and realised that I have a natural talent and affinity with dogs.
At this stage I began working with behaviourists and trainers around the country to develop my skills hands on. Four years ago, Archway kennels decided to make me their in-house trainer and behaviourist and that is when I decided to offer my services more widely.
My hobbies include scuba diving, surfing, snowboarding - I am happiest outdoors and adventuring.
I have rescued four large breed dogs - all from overseas charities. I have also rescued a corgi and a yorkshire terrier from homes that could no longer look after them.
My newest addition to the pack is my new corgi puppy. All of my dogs are training (or are in training) to be stooge dogs to help me help you with your dogs.
